We read it the same working day
Requests that come in overnight are picked up first thing. Urgent jobs such as leaks, heating failures and lockouts jump the queue.
We come back with questions or a price
If the job is straightforward we confirm and book it. If it needs sizing up, we will ask for a couple of photos or set up a short video call.
A local provider is booked
Once the price and timing are agreed, we match the job to a vetted independent provider covering your neighbourhood and send you the details.
Include your ZIP code and a photo. Those two things alone are usually the difference between a rough estimate and a firm price on the first reply.
NearbyServe connects customers with independent local service providers and, for selected bookings, may coordinate the service from booking through completion. Services are performed by independent providers, who are responsible for the actual work, applicable licenses, insurance, and professional obligations. NearbyServe is not the contractor performing the work unless expressly stated in the applicable service agreement. Pricing, availability, warranties, and service terms may vary by provider and booking.

Questions we get most often
Most requests are answered the same working day. Anything that comes in overnight or at the weekend is picked up the next working morning, except emergencies, which are handled as they arrive. If you have not heard back within one working day, call us, because it usually means the message did not reach us.
The service you need, your ZIP code, and when you would like it done. If something is broken, a photo or a short video helps more than a paragraph of description, because it lets us price the job properly on the first reply rather than after three emails back and forth.
No. Contacting NearbyServe and requesting a booking is free, with no obligation to go ahead. You pay the provider for the work itself at the price agreed for your booking. Our fee comes from the provider, not from you.
No. Your details go to one vetted provider covering your area, and only once the job is confirmed. We do not sell contact details to multiple companies, which is the reason most people end up with five contractors calling them after using a comparison site.
